Configure an IP interface for OR or RE ports
Unisphere supports the ability to configure an IP interface for OR or RE ports.
Prerequisites
An IP interface cannot be created if an IP interface is already attached.
An IP interface cannot be modified or deleted if an IP interface is not attached.
Steps
- Select the storage system.
- Select .
- Click the OR Directors or RDF Directors tab.

If you selected the
OR Directors tab, do one of the following:

- Select an offline GigE port, click
, and then click
SRDF GigE > Create IP Interface.
- Enter values for IP Address, Prefix, Default Gateway, and Maximum Transmission Unit.
- Do one of the following:
- Click Run Now.
- Click Add to Job List. The task is added to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
- Select an offline GigE port, click

- Select an offline GigE port, click
, and then click
SRDF GigE > Modify IP Interface.
- Enter values for IP Address, Prefix, and Maximum Transmission Unit.
- Do one of the following:
- Click Run Now.
- Click Add to Job List. The task is added to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
- Select an offline GigE port, click

- Select an offline GigE port, click
, and then click
SRDF GigE > Delete IP Interface.
- Click OK.
- Select an offline GigE port, click

If you selected the
RDF Directors tab, do one of the following:

- Select the RE port, click
, and then click
RE Configuration > Create IP Interface.
- Enter values for IP Address, Prefix, Default Gateway, and Maximum Transmission Unit.
- Do one of the following:
- Click Run Now.
- Click Add to Job List. The task is added to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
- Select the RE port, click

- Select the RE port, click
, and then click
RE Configuration > Modify IP Interface.
- Enter values for IP Address, Prefix, and Maximum Transmission Unit.
- Do one of the following:
- Click Run Now.

- Select the RE port, click

- Select the RE port, click

RE Configuration > Delete IP Interface.
- Click OK.
- Select the RE port, click
